Navy Expands Contract for Testing Sensors
The US Navy's
Naval Research Laboratory has granted
Integrated Solutions Inc. (NovaSol) of Honolulu a contract increase of nearly $2 million to expand its test program on the feasibility of hyperspectralization of long-range oblique photography reconnaissance sensors. The program's goal is the design, construction and testing of hyperspectral sensor modules.
NovaSol will modify the modules to operate with two camera sets with different focal lengths, resulting in look-down angles ranging from 25 to 30 miles sideways to nearly straight down. It will also develop and test a stand-alone module for nadir viewing in light aircraft and unmanned air vehicle deployment.
