Alliance Promotes Automation of Production

ATS Automation Tooling Systems Inc. and Exfo Electro-Optical Engineering Inc. have agreed to combine their expertise to assist optical component manufacturers in automating their production processes.

Exfo specializes in automated subsystems and test systems, including optical test stations, nanorobot photonics alignment systems, and UV and IR curing technologies.

ATS provides turnkey custom and standard automation systems for integration, optical path engineering, precision machine building, control software, and test and measurement. The alliance's goal is to allow manufacturers to increase yields, reduce costs and lessen human intervention in their processes.
