Hydro-Quebec Chooses RAD for Nationwide Network Upgrade

POINTE CLAIRE, Quebec, Oct. 29 -- RAD Data Communications said that Hydro-Quebec, through RAD reseller Comlink Systems, will purchase fiber optic solutions from RAD's Megaplex, Kilomux and DXC product families. They will be included in a network-wide upgrade project to take place at over 300 sites in the Hydro-Quebec telecommunications network.

RAD's equipment will be integrated into the Hydro-Quebec network for a variety of applications, including teleprotection and automation. This network will also be used to transport telephony, data and Internet traffic to the power plants, substations and offices in isolated regions throughout the province.
