Technical Sales Engineer - Domestic and International
NanoOpto

Location: Somerset, NJ USA

Compensation: Commensurate with Experience and Ability

Corporate Profile: We are a high tech enterprise that manufactures nanowire-based optics including high-performance polarizers covering the entire spectrum including the deep UV. We operate our own optics foundry capable of wafer-level processing. We have a large batch-level atomic layer deposition facility. Our products include large format polarizers, retarders, optical attenuators, optical isolators, precision ALD-coated optics, conformally-coated optical filters and optical sensors for wafer processing and metrology applications, telecom, defense and display applications, integrated optics and products based on optical MEMS.

Job Description/Responsibilities: Our Company is a member company of API Nanotronics Corporation (OTCBB:APIA), a successful electronic component secure products and optics manufacturer and supplier primarily to military, aerospace, RF communications, metrology, transport, medical and telecom OEMs. Our optics foundry has over 12,000 sq ft of clean room laboratory and manufacturing space. We offer optics solutions based on proprietary nanofabrication technologies. Our able engineering staff provides close support to our sales team. We collaborate daily with our customers to help them increase productivity and competitiveness in their markets by providing technically advanced and cost effective solutions.

We have an opening for a Technical Sales Engineer covering domestic and international sales. In this key role, the Technical Sales Engineer provides the necessary day-to-day sales and technical support that is required to meet the sales objectives of the Company. This position reports to NanoOpto’s General Manager.

Key performance areas include, but are not limited to:
• Identifying, developing and monitoring sales in specific market segments and being responsible for trade shows.
• Making regular customer calls solo or together with Engineering personnel to existing and new accounts and to potential customers for our products.
• Identifying and developing new customers.
• Providing marketing, advertising and technical support for our products.
• Preparing reports and forecasts as requested on a regular and prompt basis.
• Adhering to company policies and procedures during day-to-day business activities.
• Acting as Ambassador for the Company by conducting oneself in a manner that would reflect well upon the Company’s image.
• Monitoring competing technologies

Qualifications/Educational Requirements: • The ideal candidate will possess:
• At least 5 years of successful sales engineering experience in optics or related industry
• A sound knowledge base of precision optics and thin-film coatings
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; Excellent computer skills
• A BS in engineering or physics
