The i-Speed 3 video camera released by Olympus Industrial America Inc. uses a 1280 × 1024-pixel sensor with a high level of light sensitivity to produce high-quality images. The portable device includes a battery that provides 45 min of unsupported operation, and a GigE port is available as standard for applications that require a PC connection. The camera has a solid aluminum chassis and is supplied in a robust carrying case. It operates at 2000 fps at full resolution and at up to 150,000 fps with windowed resolution. Shutter settings are user-selectable to 1 μs.
