PicoQuant has unveiled the HydraHarp 400, a multichannel picosecond event timer and time-correlated single-photon-counting system. It offers a modular design with up to four identical input channels and a common sync channel, which operate independently but have a common crystal time base. With overall time resolution down to 30 ps, an on-board histogramming mode 32 bits deep that provides up to 65,536 time bins and a count maximum of 4 billion counts per time bin, the system runs on all recent Windows platforms.
