Oberkochen, Germany-based Carl Zeiss SMT AG has opened its North American headquarters in Peabody, Mass. The 53,000-sq-ft facility serves as a hub for sales and service for the company’s particle beam instruments, and it houses the research, development and production center for the Orion product line. It also is the location of the Carl Zeiss Nano Solutions Center Peabody, a demonstration and applications development facility for electron- and ion-beam systems.
