ILX Lightwave Donates to University of Texas

ILX Lightwave Corp. of Bozeman, Mont., has donated $10,000 worth of laser diode instrumentation to the University of Texas at Austin, where it will be used for research on mid-infrared laser diodes for gas sensing and spectroscopy. The company plans to donate $100,000 worth of equipment to North American universities over the next five years.
