Continuum has released the Inlite OPO-FX optical parametric oscillator. The instrument’s cavity configuration rotates the beam from the four mirrors of the resonator at each bounce for a round, smooth beam with an M² of <10 on all axes. With a compact design, the device is mounted inside a hardened platform that may be affixed to a pump laser for increased portability and vibration resistance. A dual-crystal configuration enables users to intracavity double the oscillator for specific wavelengths. It is suited for fixed-wavelength applications from the visible through the eye-safe regions and for integration into either production equipment or applications in rigorous environmental conditions.
