Olympus Life and Material Science Europa GmbH has announced the DP25 5-megapixel digital color camera for microscopy image acquisition, documentation, reporting and analysis. Live images at full 2560 × 1920-pixel resolution can be produced at 8 fps. Live-video mode produces 640 × 480-pixel resolution at 32 fps, and progressive mode produces resolution of 1280 × 1920 pixels. The standard C-mount facilitates installation onto all microscopes, and the camera can be used in laboratories where PCs and laptops have FireWire connectivity.
