Comcore Technologies Inc. has developed RoHS-compliant 1 × 2, 2 × 2, 1 × 3, 3 × 3, 1 × 4, 4 × 4, 1 × 8 and 8 × 8 plastic fiber couplers for use in industrial, medical, automotive, aerospace and Ethernet applications. They are available at 650 and 850 nm and operate over a temperature range from –40 to 105 °C. The company says that the couplers are highly reliable and that they deliver rugged mechanical performance
