Agilent Technologies Inc. of Santa Clara, Calif., has announced its establishment of the Materials Science Solutions unit within its Life Sciences and Chemical Analysis business. The unit will concentrate on the development of a microscopy and optical spectroscopy business that will serve the electronics, chemical analysis, life sciences and materials testing markets. On May 1, the company will transfer its Nanotechnology Measurement division to the unit — which also will market its atomic force microscopy and other nanotechnology products.
