MID-IR TUNABLE LASER SYSTEMS
Developed by Daylight Solutions Inc., the Tiny Tunables line of miniaturized mid-infrared tunable laser systems integrate quantum cascade lasers and operate at room temperature over the 4- to 12-μm range. Average power is from 1 to 10 mW, with peak power of up to 250 mW. Repeatability, linewidth and accuracy are <0.01 cm–1. The turnkey systems operate in pulsed and continuous-wave modes and are supplied with an intuitive controller that connects to a PC via USB, GPIB and RS-232 interfaces. Tuning range is >10%, set resolution is <0.005 cm–1, and read resolution is <0.002 cm–1. AM/FM modulation is up to 100 MHz on the current input. Applications include industrial process controls, cellular imaging, molecular detection, and detection of chemical and biological agents.
