Bruker BioSciences Buys Bruker Optics

Bruker BioSciences Corp. has purchased molecular spectroscopy company Bruker Optics Inc., for $135 million in cash and stock. The combined companies, both of Billerica, Mass. will provide instrumentation and molecular analysis solutions for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, metabolomics, proteomics, nanotechnology, industrial and defense markets.
