The MonoDisk-515-MP solid-state lasers announced by Elektronik Laser System (ELS) GmbH for use in industrial applications deliver up to 50 W of CW output in the green spectral range of 515 nm. Nominal power ratings are 5, 10, 15, 30 and 50 W. Gaussian beam quality is TEM₀₀ M2<1.1, beam diameter is 3 mm ±10%, with divergence of 0.5 mrad, and the beam can be focused below 1 µm. The systems comprise the laser head, electronics and a closed-loop recirculating chiller unit. They operate on 100 to 240 VAC and 50/60 Hz and consume <2100 W. After warm-up, power instability is <±2% over two hours. Applications include materials processing of nonferrous and noble metals, and annealing and crystallization of glass for LCDs.
