In Germany, Roper Scientific GmbH of Ottobrunn has opened a life sciences division in Göttingen to provide sales, service and application support in Germany and other European countries for Photometrics, QImaging and Optical Insights LLC products. The offerings include a broad range of cameras, optics, photonic devices and image analysis software. Photometrics of Tucson, Ariz., and QImaging of Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada, both part of Roper, design and manufacture CCD and electron-multiplying CCD cameras for the life sciences, while Optical Insights, also of Tucson, supplies optical systems for spectral and polarization imaging applications.
