Alpha Innotech Corp. has released Red, a gel imaging system measuring 10.6 × 21.65 × 21.65 in. It includes a 1.4-megapixel scientific-grade camera with a motorized zoom lens, image acquisition software, EPI white lights, an orange filter, a sample tray, a UV transilluminator and a built-in computer with an 8-in. LCD touch screen. Optional filters are available for red, green and blue. Images acquired with the system can be saved to a USB memory stick or printed directly to a digital thermal printer.
