The Label Unwrap system from Olmec Ltd. is a line-scan-based vision system for inspection of labels on over-the-counter health care product bottles.
The system rotates bottles 360° in front of the camera to produce a single, 2-D image of the label in 500 ms. The vision system checks that the information on the label is correct, as well as identifying missing or partial prints.
Since bottles do not need to be oriented before entering the system, speeds up to 120 pieces per minute can be achieved.
