Toshiba Imaging has released the IK-HD5, a full HD, progressive-scan 3CMOS camera for use in color-critical applications including endoscopy, surgical microscopy, ophthalmology, infrared inspection and defense imaging systems.

Operating at 60 fps in 1080p and 1080i, the camera can switch between visible and IR modes. The unit offers 3G-SDI, HD-SDI and DVI-D outputs with a removable optical low-pass filter for application in both the visible light and near-IR spectrums.

The 2.1-MP camera features expanded menu functions for red filter IR mode and approximately 3dB increased sensitivity in the near-IR.
