For area-scan color and monochrome inspection, Euresys Inc. has introduced the Grablink Quickpack color filter array, an image-acquisition and preprocessing board that can work with base configuration Camera Link cameras up to 85 MHz. Its functions include a Bayer pattern decoder and a luminance blender, which provide simultaneous Y and RGB output that can be planar or packed. It features a 64-bit, 66-MHz conventional PCI bus, nine input/output lines and four independent LUT operators for each color, and it can balance all white pixels or only those from a user-defined region of interest.
