SYLMAR, Calif., Oct. 21, 2009 – Laser Operations LLC has released the Ultra-G green laser product line, a visible laser product family based on QPC Lasers’ BrightLock monolithic chip wavelength stabilization technology.

The 532-nm green lasers offer high power and good temperature stability, as well as high brightness for use in the defense, medical (dermatology and ophthalmology ) and high-power display markets (projection laser displays). The devices are compact, cost-effective and passively cooled, and they operate over a wide temperature range.
Designed for medical applications, the BrightLock Ultra-G Medica package features a × that delivers greater than 3 W of continuous-wave power at 532 nm in a narrow core detachable delivery fiber. It features a low-power aiming beam, a fiber detector and a removable blast shield for applications in dermatology and ophthalmology.
The lasers are also available as energy efficient, compact and rugged packages that deliver a collimated beam of up to 6 W of continuous-wave visible green light at 532 nm, which is suited for applications including long range nonlethal visual disruption in defense and law enforcement. Laser display manufacturers developing digital cinema and front projectors can leverage the monolithic stabilization technology for stable and passively cooled operation over a wide temperature range.
