May 2014LightWorks Optical Systems Inc. has added a series of athermal f/2 mid-wave infrared (MWIR) lenses to its Owl-IR line of fixed-focus objective lenses.
The lenses offer radiometric quality with improved optical MTF (modulation transfer function) performance for large, high-resolution FPA (focal plane array) formats (1280 × 1024) as well as low pixel pitch of 12 µm.
Optimized for the 3- to 5-µm spectral range, the lenses provide diffraction-limited performance with low distortion and stray light. They are available in focal lengths of 50, 100 and 150 mm.
