Comparators
Comparators: 1. An eyepiece or magnifier with a scale at its image plane. That scale is placed in contact with an object, permitting direct measurement of its size. 2. Also called traveling stage and traveling microscope. An instrument intended for precise measurement of object dimensions. Either the microscope or the stage that carries the object may be moved by a precision mechanism. 3. A circuit designed to detect correlation or disagreement between two signals.
