Highyag Laser Technology GmbH has appointed Dr. Ing. Holger Schlüter as its new managing director, the laser materials processing supplier said this week.

Schlüter brings to his new position 20 years of experience in high-power lasers for industrial applications, most recently as chief operating officer of Technolas Perfect Vision GmbH. Prior to that, he held key managerial roles at Trumpf, including the management of development, production, sales and service of high-power lasers in North America.

He earned his diploma in physics and his doctorate in mechanical engineering from RWTH Aachen and holds several patents related to laser resonators and laser applications.
