Laser-quality precision optical assemblies and components manufacturer Precision Optical of Costa Mesa, Calif., celebrated the opening of its 42,000-sq-ft state-of-the-art facility in December. Speakers at the ceremony included Roderick Randolph, president and chief operating officer, and guests included optics industry representatives from around the country. The facility, which is more than twice the previous size, includes features such as custom tailoring for the manufacture, coating and assembly of optics and optical components. Randolph spoke of plans to expand the company’s product base by offering lens manufacturing and assembly, and infrared optics and coatings. The company’s products have medical applications.
