DuraBeryllium Plus is a low-Z material that, when applied to beryllium, creates a hermetic, corrosion-resistant window that is used for ultrahigh-vacuum applications.
The thin-film windows are leak-tight and have high x-ray transmission. They are used in microanalysis, energy-dispersive x-ray fluorescence, wavelength-dispersive x-ray fluorescence and x-ray diffraction applications.
