STADTRODA, Germany, June 12, 2012 — Allied Vision Technologies GmbH has added the CMV2000 CMOS sensor to its Prosilica GT2000 2.2-megapixel camera.

The global shutter CMOS sensor offers high sensitivity, fast frame rates, high-quality images and a high dynamic range. The Prosilica GT2000 operates at 50 fps at full 2048 × 1088-pixel resolution.

With an extended temperature range from −20 to 60 °C and a rich set of smart features including auto-iris (P-iris and DC), Power over Ethernet and PTP IEEE1588, a function that manages clock synchronization of multiple devices across an Ethernet network, the camera is suitable for applications such as machine vision, motion control, traffic monitoring and high-speed inspection in extreme conditions.

The GT2000’s GigE Vision-compliant interface ensures reduced integration costs and long cable lengths up to 100 m on a single copper link, or more with fiber optics.
