The digital imaging business unit of the Jenoptik Optical Systems Division has added two USB camera types to its ProgRes CCD microscope camera range.
The ProgRes SpeedXT core 3 and ProgRes SpeedXT core 5 cameras are the first to feature the company’s SpeedXT core technology.
The core 3 model delivers a live image speed of 17 fps at the maximum possible resolution of 2080 x 1542 pixels. When maximum resolution is not required, it can achieve higher frame rates of 30 fps.
Offering a life image speed of 13 fps, the core 5 model features a 2580 x 1944 pixel resolution. It can achieve a higher frame rate of 45 fps when its maximum resolution is not required.
Specimens can be focused and positioned more easily and quickly, and it delivers exposure times up to 180 s to ensure optimum captured images. This can also be achieved under lowlight conditions. Its maximum possible color depth is 36 bit.
The models can be easily and rapidly connected to any microscope, computer or notebook with C-mount connection. ProgRes CapturePro image capture software is included to offer users extensive functionalities and an intuitive user interface.
