The FCM series of fiber-pigtailed acousto-optic modulators/frequency shifters from
IntraAction Corp. are made of chalcogenide glass and operate in the 1.3- to 1.6-µm range. Frequency shifters can be specified for operation at any frequency between 40 and 250 MHz. Backreflections can be less than 255 dB, and single-mode or polarization-maintaining fiber can be attached with a variety of standard connectors.
