The ChiliLase family of lasers from
Modulight Inc. has been expanded with a multimode 635-nm instrument designed for medical and illumination applications. The ML1468 is housed in a rugged 9-mm TO-can that is covered by a flat window in the standard versions. The emitting area of the laser die is 50 x 1 μm. Customized beam-shaping optics are available. The laser is suitable for operation in both pulsed and CW modes. It has an output power of 220 mW and an operating current of 400 mA.
