The OptiSpheric IOL from
Trioptics GmbH can measure simultaneously diopter power and modulation transfer function of intraocular lenses in air or in situ. The device, which offers short measurement times for production quantities, calculates radii of curvature, back focal length and front focal length. The Model Eye design allows for characterization of bifocal, multifocal, spherical or aspheric lenses in situ. Its manual focusing measurement time is 3 to 20 s, while the autofocus time is 5 to 8 s for the first reading and 3 to 5 s after that.
