• 1.3- to 2.1-μm wavelength
• conductively cooled
• various packaging options

The Summit quasi-CW diode lasers with output wavelengths from 1.3 to 2.1 μm and conductive cooling have been announced by
nLight Corp. With peak power available up to 200 W per bar and a proven reliable indium-free package, the near-IR instruments’ performance and reliability make them suitable for use in quasi-CW diode laser pumping applications.
As a result of developments in laser diode technology, longer wavelength technologies now make their transition from the laboratory to the field. Based on thermal coefficient of expansion-matched materials and hard solder, the lasers represent a solution for a variety of military, aerospace, medical and industrial applications.
The company says that conductive cooling decreases cost of ownership, and quasi-CW operation allows even higher peak power than can be achieved with comparable CW lasers.
As for the near-IR versions, the detailed specifications depend on the packaging chosen. Further customer-specific optimizations include collimation, power, brightness and even efficiency.
