CVI Melles Griot has introduced the 85 YBB series, a range of diode-pumped solid-state yellow lasers that provide 10, 20 or 25 mW of output power at 561 nm. The devices feature <0.5% rms noise, <3.0% peak-to-peak noise, M
2 <1.2 beam quality, minimal heat-sinking requirements, 0.67-mm beam diameter, <0.2-nm wavelength stability and stable output at a temperature from 15 to 40 °C. The instruments are suitable for use with several dyes, and they can serve as drop-in replacements for krypton-argon and green lasers. They can be used for scanning, metrology, spectroscopy and interferometry applications.
