CVI Melles Griot has introduced its 56-CRH series ultracompact diode lasers, which are compatible with the 56-CLC universal controller. Measuring 90 × 40 × 40 mm, the devices include a semiconductor laser, a thermal management system and beam-conditioning optics. The company says that the lasers provide high output power and good pointing stability at 408, 442, 642 and 658 nm. They produce digital modulation with rise and fall times to <200 ns, with analog modulation also available. Custom wavelengths, output power, spot dimensions and electronic drive configurations are available upon request.
