CVI Laser LLC has added a 2× beam expander to its existing 3×, 5× and 10× beam expander options to cover high-energy and UV applications. The 2× expansion ratio is useful for fiber and excimer laser users and manufacturers. In addition to its beam-expansion capability, the device’s compact, air-spaced design may be used in reverse for beam reduction. Manual adjustability enables collimation at a variety of wavelengths.
