The multispectral sensor developed by Pacific Advanced Technology Inc. has no moving parts and uses diffractive optical lenslet arrays and infrared focal plane arrays to enable rapid standoff detection and identification of specific chemical/biological warfare agents. The compact and rugged instrument can image a scene simultaneously in multispectral bands and can reduce false alarms. Specific spectral tuning of bands can be performed at the time of manufacture.
