CVI Laser LLC has introduced its QuantaGlas singlet lenses with surface figure and surface quality tailored to the imaging and commercial markets. The lenses are available in planoconcave, planoconvex, biconcave and biconvex configurations, in either UV-grade fused silica or BK 7 glass, and are offered with one of three standard AR coatings. All types have a surface figure of λ/2 at 633 nm before coating and surface quality of 40-20 per MIL-PRF-1383OB. Thickness tolerance is ±0.25 mm, concentricity is ≤0.05 mm and focal length tolerance is ±3% at 633 nm.
