Fisba Optik will be showing the latest compact phase-measuring interferometer, the uPhase 2. This is a workshop interferometer that is also very suitable for the QA lab and is ideal for measuring flat surfaces, spherical surfaces, optical systems in transmission and some aspheric surfaces. This modular palm-size instrument can be configured to have a collimated output aperture from 2 mm to 300 mm (the more popular sizes are 10 mm, 50 mm and 100 mm), and a wide range of focusing optics are available. The comprehensive analysis software uShape is supplied with every Fisba interferometer. This is a very user-friendly yet powerful software package that can measure many optical parameters such as PV, rms, radius of curvature, etc., but also MTF, homogeneity and aspheric surfaces. For asphere measurement, it is possible to make an aspheric fit using a spherical wavefront, or alternatively to use a computer-generated hologram (CGH) if the surface departure is more severe. The uPhase 2 is available with an internal camera resolution of 500 x 500 pixels (SR) and also 1000 x 1000 pixels (HR). Current applications include general optics testing, astronomy, microlens measurement, contact lens measurement, diamond-turned optics and many more.
