The modular microscope launched by Rolyn Optics Co. allows expansion, modification and adaptation of equipment. The modules are interchangeable with standard microscope optics; for example, a lower spacer tube can be removed and replaced with a beamsplitter block, and a second ocular assembly can be added to create an entirely new microscope. A transition or grid plate adapts the modules for use in existing instrumentation. The system's applications include microfilming, electronics, physical sciences, electronics and photography.
