Oz Optics Ltd. has introduced miniature polarizing splitters to its fiber optic product line. The devices feature extinction ratios of up to 30 dB, and insertion and return losses of 0.6 dB and -60 dB, respectively. Splitters are available in 1 x 2 and 2 x 2 versions for the C-, L- and S-bands, as well as for other wavelengths. They come in a "T" shape or in an in-line design, and their input and output fibers can be single mode or polarization-maintaining.
